6 areas record unhealthy API readings

SHAH ALAM, 7 Sept: Cheras and Batu Muda recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 2 pm, bring it to six areas that are at the level compared to four this morning.

According to the Department of Environment (DOE) website, Cheras and Batu Muda each recorded a reading of 105.

The four areas that recorded unhealthy API readings are Bukit Rambai (118), Bandaraya Melaka (116), Nilai (115) and Seremban (105).

The rest of the country recorded good and moderate API readings.

API readings between 0 to 50 is good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).
