SHAH ALAM, 3 Sept: The family of tithe recipient, Rohaizat Asyikin Ismail, who is unable to cover her child’s medical bill, has been asked to refer to the nearest Selangor Tithe Board (LZS).

“LZS has given medical assistance to Haris since 2014 amounting to RM450 a month. LZS is concerned with the problems faced by Rahaizat’s family, therefore recommended for her to go to the nearest branch and present the latest medical cost,” he said.

LZs is also in the process of managing the aid for the purchase of a low-cost house for the family as they are unable to pay their rent.

He said that the family has received attention from LZS since 2013 and received various tithe aid.

“Among the tithes received including a financial assistance of RM500 a month, monthly food assistance, Hari Raya assistance and educational assistance,” he said.

On September 1, the Sinar Harian newspaper reported that Rohaizan, 39, admitted to not being able to provide medical equipment for her son because the salary she receives is only RM1,400 a month, in addition to supporting three more schooling children.

Her fourth child is forced to rely on a colostomy bag since he was born after his intestinal nerve failed to function.
