PANDAN, 5 Oct: The provisions for the Selangorku Housing Financing (DanaSel) scheme is expected to be increased to RM20 million in the Selangor Budget 2016.
The Exco for Housing, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that this move is to help the people own their own homes, especially those who are unable to obtain bank loans.
“We are focusing on those who want to buy homes but could not obtain loans. We will continue to improve by increasing the DanaSel scheme allocation.
“The previous provisions was doubled to RM20 million. We will try to finalise this figure before the Budget 2016 is presented,” he said.
He said this to Selangor Kini at the Chempaka Lantern Festival in Pandan Jaya last night.
Iskandar added that he will hold discussions with the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) to help those who do not have the downpayment to buy homes.
Iskandar also expects provisions for the housing portfolio.
