Selangor investments RM4.22 billion as of June 2015

SHAH ALAM, 2 Oct: The investment in Selangor remains strong with investments amounting to RM4.22 billion as of June 2015

According to Invest Selangor Berhad, a total of RM2.3 billion was invested by foreign investors, while RM1.92 billion was from local investors.

Three major foreign investor countries in Selangor so far are Japan, Sweden and Singapore.

“Up to now, a total of 130 projects have been approved in Selangor with over 300,000 jobs created.

“Selangor also continue to excel in fourth place in terms of investment destinations in Malaysia,” he said.

Between 2000 to 2014, Selangor managed to attract investments amounting to RM143.6 billion with Japan being the biggest foreign investors.

Selangor is also establishing a network of strategic alliances with foreign-owned companies to promote the state to foreign investors.
