Selangor DAP proposes Selangor Joint Government

SHAH ALAM, 20 June: The Selangor DAP unanimously decided to not affect the Selangor government and the dissolution of the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) is the last resort that is unwanted.

The Selangor DAP Chairman, Tony Pua, said that during the Selangor DAP meeting, some solutions were proposed to be discussed with the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, in the near future.

“We have also taken the stand to hear suggestions from him,” said Tony Pua in a press statement.

Tony Pua said that he welcomes a new Selangor State Joint Government.

He said that this coalition should be based entirely on the Common Policy Framework and the Selangor Government manifesto which was given the people’s mandate in the last election.

“We welcome this Joint Government with PKR and any other parties that are willing to politically cooperate with each other to achieve that goal,” he said.

He said that the meeting between the Selangor DAP and the Chief Minister is important and should be expedited to solve this political issue as soon as possible.

“This request was presented to the Chief Minister on Thursday and we are now waiting for the sate and time from his office,” he said.
