AMPANG, 14 June: A total of 51 mosques and suraus in Bukit Antarabangsa received a contribution of over RM510,000 to celebrate Ramadan with various programmes.
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that it is the responsibility of the leaders of mosques and suraus to try to improve activities of the parishioners by diversifying activities.
He said this at the Ramadan Ihyaa Contribution Presentation Ceremony 2015 for the constituency at the Jami’il Huda Mosque in Kampung Melayu Ampang today.
Approximately 300 people attended the programme which was also attended by the Ampang MP, Zuraida Kamaruddin, and the Yang Dipertua of Ampang Jaya, Abd Hamid Hussain.
The contribution involved 47 suraus and 4 mosques, which each received a contribution of RM10,000.
