MPSJ fishing carnival drew 500 visitors

PUCHONG, 7 June: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Fishing Carnival at the Taman Puchong Perdana Lake today was celebrated in a lively manner with the presence of about 500 guests.

The annual event also received cooperation from the Sri Serdang Assemblyman’s Office to ensure the smooth running of the programme.

The Sri Serdang Assemblyman, Noor Hanim Ismail, said that it was to promote healthy activities and provide an opportunity to the people to involve themselves in friendly activities.

“It can also strengthen unity among the people and shape individuals that are healthy.

“The carnival also promotes camaraderie and brotherhood between the Council, Assemblyman’s office and the residents of Puchong,” he said when opening the event.

In addition to fishing competitions, other events will also be held like colouring contests, sports, carom, a feast and birthday celebration for the seniors of the Sri Serdang area.
