MBSA introduces Pay-Tapak to facilitate affairs

SHAH ALAM, June 5: The Pay-Tapak system was introduced for offenders to make direct payments to the authorities at the scene.

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Corporate Deputy Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that the initiative is an innovation activity by the Vehicle Towing Enforcement.

“This method allows owners to make payment on site during the towing process.

“This allows owners to make a claim to release it immediately after payment is made,” he said in a statement.

In addition, Shahrin said that the payment rate is also lower at RM100 compared to the existing rate.

“The fee at the site includes towing costs of RM40 and RM60 for the compound,” he said.

Throughout 2014, RM77,300 was collected through the Pay-Tapak system while until April 2015, MBSA collected RM19,600.
