About 3,000 visitors thronged the launching of Selangorku Homes at Bandar Saujana Putra, thus exceeding the units offered.

In fact, the hot weather did not prevent them from queuing and waiting since 7 am to obtain their queue numbers.

A private employee, Zaki Abdul Rahim, 36, was one of the people who did not want to miss out on the opportunity as he has been renting a house for over 15 years because he had no opportunity to own a home due to high prices.

“I tried, but never got to buy. With my small wage and high commitments, I could not buy an expensive home. I am tired of renting. Even rent has gone up,” he said.
