Selangor Plus Sports League 2015 has a new look, more dynamic

SHAH ALAM, 20 Mar: The Futsal Championship Tour is now given a new life by re-branding it as the Selangor Plus Super League 2015 to be more interesting and to find new talent.

The Exco for Youth Development and Sports, Amirudin Shari, said that apart from futsal, the championship this time involves netball and basketball.

“This time we are also involving competition at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) level compared to previously, which was done based on district.

“This move is to allow greater involvement of the younger generation, to find new talents and to make active and healthy life a culture,” he said during the Selangor Plus Super League 2015 Launching Ceremony.

Housed at the SUK Building, the event was also attended by the Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim, and the Sri Andalas Assemblyman, Dr Xavier Jayakumar.

Elaborating, Amirudin said that the ‘Plus’ name was chosen to complement the theme of the Selangor Budget 2015, Quality Development with People at Heart.

“This sport is an added value to aspects of quality community development that is sociable.

“Especially in a world without borders, with the existence of gadgets and tablets that can separate us,” he said.

The Selangor Plus Super League 2015 is expected to take place from April to May in each DUN before the final state level.
