SHAH ALAM, 2 Mar: Allegations that there will be a 36-hour water disrupting across Selangor, as spread through Whatsapp, is wrong and malicious.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Infrastructure & Public Amenities, Zaidy Abdul Talib, said that there are irresponsible people spreading the information with intend to cause panic among consumers.
“The information spread on Whatsapp is not true at all.
“The state government urges all consumers to not speculate or purposely create false news which may cause panic among the public, especially consumers in Selangor,” said Zaidy in a press statement.
Zaidy said that the Selangor government regrets that this has happened and hopes that Whatsapp users will research the information received first before spreading it.
