MBPJ to carry out operation to move dilapidated vehicles that are Aedes nests

SHAH ALAM, 2 Mar: A massive operation to move dilapidated vehicles that are Aedes mosquito breeding places will be carried out around Petaling Jaya starting March 15 to 28.

The Petaling Jaya City Council Media Relations Unit, in a press statement, said that the operation is being carried out to maintain the safety and comfort of the people.

Cars towed will be first given a 14-day notice to move the cars and if no action is taken by the owner, the vehicle will be moved to the MBPJ storage depot in Kota Damansara.

Throughout 2014, 315 dilapidated vehicles were towed for disposal while in 2015, 58 vehicles were given 14-day notices.
