SHAH ALAM, 5 Feb: Over 200 residents of Paya Jaras are expected to obtain land titles through the People’s Land Agenda before 2015 ends.
Its Assemblyman, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, said that a meeting with the Petaling Land and District Office was held to determine the status of the land before it is presented for approval at the State Executive Council (MMKN) level.
“We are aiming to solve the dropped grants since 25 to 30 years ago.
“For example, there may be a house with no grant at an alley or street, so we will collect white cards to be taken to the district office,” he told Selangor Kini.
The programme began five months ago and involves several villages in Paya Jaras, including Kampung Sri Indah, Kampung Paya Jaras Hilir, Kampung Paya Jaras Dalam, Kampung Kubu Gajah and Kampung Merbau Sempak.
“With cooperation and hospitality of the residents, we will try to solve this matter in six months and if it can be done before Hari Raya, it would be better,” he said.
