“We expect around seven million tourists to come and enter through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), who will then use the promotional packages made ready for the success for the Visit Selangor Year 2015.

“I believe with the products and packages available, we can achieve the goals outlined,” he said at a press conference.

Mohamed Azmin said this at the launching of the Visit Selangor year 2015 at KLIA today.

He said that the Visit Selangor Year 2015 should have been launched at the end of last year, but it was postponed due to the floods that hit the country, especially in the East Coast.

“The presence of tourists in Selangor will help advance the state while improving the economy, and Selangor itself is the main contributor to the country’s GDP accounting for almost 24 percent,” he said.

Selangor has its own attractions and attractive tourist areas to visit such as the Kampung Kuantan Fireflies, Batu Caves, the National Botanical Garden, FRIM Kepong and so on.
