CM: Two great figures lost, but the fight must continue

SHAH ALAM, 14 Feb: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, described the month of February as a sad month for Pakatan Rakyat because they lost two great figures.

However, Mohamed Azmin said that this will not weaken; rather it will further burn the passion for Pakatan Rakyat to continue the fight.

“This month of February is quite sad for Pakatan Rakyat because we lost two great figures.

“However, the fight must continue,” he said.

He said this to reporters when met after the Road Safety Campaign Launching Ceremony in conjunction with the Chinese New Year at the Batu Tiga Toll Plaza today.

On February 10, the court sentenced the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to five years in prison in relation to the Defamation II case.

Two days later, the PAS Spiritual Leader, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, died.

“The youth generation (leaders) today need to adhere to principles and idealism of the struggle following the framework that was agreed upon in Pakatan Rakyat.

“I am certain that Anwar Ibrahim and the late Nik Aziz have laid a strong foundation in Pakatan Rakyat,” he said.
