SHAH ALAM, 20 Jan: The Selangor government will take legal action against the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), Faekah Husin, and seven former officers of the state government subsidiary company.
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that he is getting advice from lawyers to pursue legal procedures against those who have refused to return the gratuity amounting to RM2.6 million after the 14 day period to return it expired yesterday.
“We have referred to our lawyers to pursue legal action against those who have refused to return the money,” he said, taken from The Malaysian Insider.
The state government, through MBI, on January 5, submitted a notice of claim for the gratuity payment made out to 8 former employees.
A 14-day period was given from the date the letter was issued after the State Audit Department found that there were discrepancies in the financial procedure and rules.
