CM: PR is not threatened by the Hudud issue

SUBANG JAYA, 25 Dec: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will not be threatened by the Hudud issue which is associated with PAS, including the recommendations by DAP to work with party being cancelled.

The Chief Minister who is also the PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that PR will maintain and hold discussions among the three parties concerned so that all confusion can be resolved.

He said that PR’s view on Hudud is clear; it is not a policy of the three parties and is not an official statement by the coalition if different views are given by other leaders, be it from PKR, DAP or PAS.

“Enough. That’s a personal view. Decisions and views of Pakatan Rakyat are clear ok,” he said after attending a Christmas Day celebration which was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today.

Mohamed Azmin said this when commenting on the proposal by the DAP Legal Bureau Chairman, Gobind Singh Deo, on PR cancelling cooperation with PAS following efforts by the party to implement the Hudud law.

Prior to this, PR in a statement explained that they will be holding a meeting and further discussions between PKR, DAP and PAS in January.
