“The mosque is among the oldest mosques in Sijangkang and is always flooded. Only this year it did not happen. Prior to this, it was expanded and we have listed to build a new mosque.

“This year it is not included in the budget, so we will try to enter it into the 11th Malaysia Plan next year and this means that we can enter it into the redevelopment budget. The only issue is the existing site,” he said.

Dr Ahmad Hairi said that the construction of the new mosque is expected to receive provisions of between RM5 million to RM7 million.

He said that the residents will use the Batu 10 Mosque, which is not very far away while the construction of the new mosque is underway.

Meanwhile, the Al-Amin Mosque Nazir, Tauhid Ahmad, said that the construction of the mosque needs to be carried out because of the exponential increase in residents since it was first built.
