3 constituencies distribute Child School Entry vouchers to 1,700 TAWAS participants

KLANG, 23 Nov: Over 1,700 children from the Selangor Children Heritage Fund (TAWAS) today were celebrated with the Child School Entry voucher presentation programme involving three constituencies; Sementa, Meru and Sepinang.

The recipients with their parents and families were also accompanied by the representatives from their respective areas including the Assemblyman for Sementa, Dr Dayoyah Alwi, and the Assemblyman for Meru, Dr Abdul Rani Othman.

Daroyah, who is also the Exco for Health, Welfare, Women’s Affairs and Family, said that the programme carried out was proof that the state government fulfilled their promises through TAWAS.

“So, we hope that those who have still not registered to do so either through village heads, constituency service offices of online.

“It is hoped that the children born in Selangor do not miss out on an opportunity like this,” she told Selangor Kini.

Even though she rushed from another programme in Sepang before this event, she managed to mingle with children and parents.

At the same time, she also managed to promote other welfare programmes under the Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor (MES) agenda to visitors such as the Senior Citizens Scheme (SMUE).

On November 16, the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, officiated the Child School Entry Programme for TAWAS children at the Econsave supermarket in KL Festival City.

A total of 21,298 TAWAS members born in 2008 will receive this aid in stages through several supermarkets in each constituency with an allocation of over RM1 million.

TAWAS is a special assistance for children born in Selangor with a contribution of RM1,500 which can be claimed when they reach 18 years of age.
