Batu Tiga sacrifice ritual handed down to the younger generation

SHAH ALAM, 6 Oct: The youth of Batu Tiga were given the opportunity and priority to participate in the Premier Sacrificial Ritual this year.

The Assemblywoman, Rodziah Ismail, said that the opportunity was to ensure that they are able to continue the management of the sacrificial cattle.

However, she said that the older generation are still directly involved to provide guidance to the young people.

“What is most important is that we always call on the young people to participate in the events that we usually hold at selected mosques in Batu Tiga.

“The young people are trained to take on assignments that are usually synonymous with the old people,” she said when met at the ceremony this morning which was held at the Ar-Rauddhah Surau in Section 24, which the Member of Parliament for Shah Alam, Khalid Samad, also participated in.

Rodziah, who arrived early at 8 am, joined in to skin the meat before being weighed and packaged to be distributed to the public.

She also expressed her joy and gratitude for being finally able to participate in the Premier Sacrifice Ceremony organised by her office.

“In the past, I did not have such an opportunity. This is the first time I was able to participate fully.

“On this occasion, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Aidiladha and may Allah receive our practices,” she said.
