SHAH ALAM, 1 Oct: The PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was never sacked from the position of the Selangor State Government Economic Advisor, explained the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali.
This is because the former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, through his last Executive Council meeting, decided to close the office of the Selangor Economic Advisor.
“We have viewed the previous Exco meeting minutes (September 22). What was decided by Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim was to shut down the office of the Economic Advisor immediately. So there is no question of the sacking of the Economic Advisor,” he explained in a special press conference after chairing the State Government Executive Council (MMKN) meeting today.
Elaborating, Azmin said that the MMKN will discuss the role of the Selangor Economic Advisor in helping the economic development in Selangor.
He said that should the role be required, the State Government will provide facilities, including an office in accordance with the role to be played.
