SHAH ALAM, 24 Sept: Selangor PAS will meet tonight to determine the names of Assemblymen who will be listed as State Government Executive Council members to be submitted to the Central PAS.
The Selangor PAS Commissioner, Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that the names will be submitted to the Central PAS as soon as possible to obtain the approval from the party leadership.
“The names of the Exco have been verbally communicated to the Central PAS, not officially yet. We will meet tonight and submit the names as soon as possible,” he said, quoted from Harakah Daily.
He added that the resignation of four Exco from PAS yesterday was automatic when Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim resigned as the Chief Minister of Selangor.
“We do not need letters of resignation. It is practice when the CM resigns, the Exco will automatically have to resign,” he said.
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, will go before Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah tomorrow to inform him about the new Selangor Exco line-up before the swearing in ceremony on Friday.
The [previous four Exco from PAS are the Assemblyman for Chempaka, Iskandar Abdul Samas as the Chairman for the Standing Committee on Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlers; the Assemblyman for Sijangkang, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi (Youth and Sports, Infrastructure and Public Amenities); the Assemblyman for Sabak, Sallehen Mukhyi (Islamic Affairs, Agricultural Modernisation and Rural Development) and the Assemblywoman for Selat Klang Dr Halimah Ali (Education, Higher Learning and Human Capital Development).
