Then the move to terminate the operations and management of Dataran Usahawan is a necessity, and in fact, they can be fined according the existing Act and rules, and they can be charged in court.

“There have been complaints from several traders that enforcement was not carried out on lot owners that are not trading but rents out the spot to other people.

Fake traders are offered higher rent than RM300 which is charged by the UpS24 management,” said Rodziah in a media statement.

She said that this denies the rights of traders who have valid licences to obtain business lots.

“In fact, landlords of fake traders allow them to change the design of their respective shops without control, supervision, approval and monitoring in terms of safety, electricity supply, air and other required specifications.

“The design and structure of the shops can sometimes reach up to RM70 thousand,” she said.

She said that the physical development and infrastructure in Shah Alam needs development that is par with its image as a city.

Efforts to develop entrepreneurs have to be more transparent without giving opportunity to brokers or middlemen that receive profit which they should not in offering the business lots.

“All building design specifications and safe wiring must be prioritised because it involves safety and people’s lives

“The aspect of cleanliness, environmental preservation, customer friendly conditions and so on are also issues that need to be implemented,” she said.
