SHAH ALAM, 20 Sept: PKR has appealed to go before the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, regarding the appointment of the Chief Minister of Selangor.
The PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, said that the Political Bureau which was attended by senior leaders met yesterday following further updates on the issue.
“PKR has taken the stand that the support from the Selangor State Assembly Members, who previously supported Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, has not changed.
“Therefore, PKR is seeking the consent of His Royal Highness to go before him for advice and the compassion of His Royal Highness in the situation where the majority support is clear and is unchanged,” he said in a press statement.
The Selangor Palace will announce the name of the new Chief Minister of Selangor by Monday at the latest before the swearing-in ceremony.
