Azmin: “Noh came one hour late but wants to be a hero that defends the people”

PANDAMARAN, 2 Nov: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, slammed the Selangor Umno Liaison Chairman, Datuk Seri Noh Omah, who was seen as trying to be a hero in front of storm victims in Pandamaran, Port Klang.

During the Storm Contribution Presentation Ceremony speech in Pandamaran Jaya, Mohamed Azmin reminded the Member of Parliament for Tanjong Karang to not distort the facts by claiming that the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) did not go and help the storm victims.

Mohamed Azmin contradicted the claims by saying that he personally saw PKNS going early to help repair the roofs on the day of the incident.

“This is the second time. I received information two days ago that an Umno leader came here. Noh Omar came one hour late but wants to be a hero that defends the people.

“I want to say while politics in democracy is allowed, do not distort and defame and lie for their propaganda in this area,” he said.

Mohamed Azmin said that when the storm hit, among the agencies that went came and immediately helped the people was the Klang District and Land Office, the Klang Municipal Council (MPK).

“I personally saw PKNS immediately come to repair the lost roof on the day of the incident,” he said.

Meanwhile the Taman Permai Indah, Pandamaran, management body Chairman, Datuk Nor Shabudin Monil recorded a thank you speech to the Selangor Government for the contributions given to the storm victims.

He also denied allegations by some that the victims did not receive help from the state government when the contractor for reparations has already been appointed.

“Those (allegations) are not true. Today, we have seen that what was said about them not receiving help is not true.

“A survey has been done by the Community Welfare Department (JKM) and the Zakat Centre with the management of Permai Indah,” he further explained.
