SHAH ALAM, 20 Aug: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) will organise two main programmes; ‘Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign’ and the ‘IOI Independence Cycling Programme’, in conjunction with the celebration of Malaysia’s 57th Year of Independence this month.
The MPSJ ‘Fly the Jalur Gemilang’ programme starts on August 20 to September 16.
Meanwhile, the ‘IOI Independence Cycling Programme’ will be held on August 23, starting as early as 7.30am, at The Cube, Jalan Puteri 1/2, Bandar Puteri Puchong.
The Deputy Corporate Director, Muhammad Azli Miswan, said that the objective of these programmes is to create awareness and the spirit of patriotism.
He said that this is to strengthen unity and friendship in the spirit of independence.
“There are many fun activities arranged, such as lucky draws, bicycle equipment sales exhibition and much more.
“The competition prizes are worth up to RM20,000,” he said in a press statement.
In addition, MPSJ hopes that the public, especially residents staying in areas under MPSJ, will take this opportunity to join in the campaign and programme, thus enlivening the month of independence celebrations.
