SHAH ALAM, 8 Aug: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the sworn letter of no confidence to him by representatives of the Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) may be fake.
He is of the opinion that this is normal, he said that there are too many fake letters and untrue statements issued regarding the demands of wanting him to retreat from his current position.
“No, that is normal because currently there are many fake letters issued,” he said briefly when commenting on the matter at the Silver Jubilee Hall today.
Meanwhile, the Executive Councillor for Islamic Affairs, Agriculture Modernisation and Rural Development, Sallehen Mukhyi, when met said that he did not know about the letter of sworn oath.
In fact, he said that other Exco members also did not know of the existence of the letter and consider it as a fake letter.
“I did not know the existence of this letter and it may be fake. In fact other Exco members also did not receive the letter,” he said.
A media portal reported that PKR asked all representatives in Selangor to pledge their support to Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the Chief Minister, in efforts to isolate the incumbent, Abdul Khalid, who refused to step down.
The directive was issued a few hours after Abdul Khalid was called yesterday to face the Disciplinary Board to explain his refusal to resign as Chief Minister of Selangor.
The sworn statement allegedly confirmed that the state representative lost confidence in Khalid as Chief Minister and pledged to support Dr Wan Azizah to take over the position.
