CM: “I have replied to PKR’s show cause letter”

KLANG, 6 Aug: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, explained that he had replied to the show cause letter sent by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) regarding allegations questioning his integrity, including the case involving Bank Islam.

Abdul Khalid also informed that his senior officer has sent a letter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate allegations of misconduct as previously disclosed.

“I have responded. When they receive the letter, I’m sure it will be uploaded for all to see on the basis of transparency.

“I have sent the full documents written by PKR to the MACC, it is better for me to not comment as Bank Islam is referred to in this matter.

“I will personally write to Bank Islam on this matter,” he told the media.

Commenting on calls for him to resign after receiving support to appoint Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Abdul Khalid said that he will hold a press conference after August 10.

“I feel that that is a statement on its own. I will take any action after I discover the validity and results.

“It is understood that on August 10 there will be the Pakatan Rakyat leadership meeting and I will make a press statement after that.

Abdul Khalid said that he considers the current situation as experience of politics in this country.

“I’m having fun serving the people and it has given me the conviction to work harder for the people of Selangor.

“Such demands require me to do my job faster, in a more orderly fashnion and correctly,” he said.
