Poll: 80% selected Abdul Khalid to remain as CM

SHAH ALAM, 24 July: The people of Selangor continue to express support for Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim on the issue concerning the Chief Minister’s position.

Through a poll which was conducted last night at poll.pollcode.com, Abdul Khalid continues to lead with a high percentage.

As of 9am, from 3,698 voters, 80 percent (2,983) voted for Abdul Khalid to remain as Chief Minister.

With the ‘caption’ Selangor People’s Voice, the vote also placed there other options, the President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR0, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail; her Deputy, Azmin Ali, and the last is for the whole Assembly to be dissolved.

Wan Azizah only received 399 votes (11%), while 241 others (7%) voted for the Selangor State Assembly to be dissolved.

The PKR Supreme Council Meeting decided to choose Wan Azizah as the Chief Minister of Selangor to complete the ‘Kajang Move’ to replace Abdul Khalid on July 21.

The announcement made by the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, however received less happy reactions from the people who questioned the need for such change.

Selangor Kini found yesterday that most of the people demand an explanation and a reason for why Abdul Khalid needs to be replaced as he has an excellent and clean track record so far.
