Khalid Samad: Saifuddin’s attacks on CM unwise

SHAH ALAM, 5 Aug: The Member of Parliament for Shah Alam, Khalid Abdul Samad, said that the attack regarding the integrity issue of the Chief Minister of Selangor by the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution, is an unwise action.

This is because the attack gives the people the perception that the party is only willing to disclose misconduct of a leader when they want to implement the process of elimination.

“This seems to give the impression that if there is fraud and if the leader is still wanted, we will hide the misconduct from public knowledge.

“People will look at this situation, where we are similar to Umno,” he said in a press conference at the Shah Alam Parliamentarian’s office today.

He said that PKR should hold talks with PAS and DAP in advance to determine the next step.

“By right, this should be presented first to PAS and DAP for further action before calling the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, to get his explanation.

“Perhaps in the discussion, they could also reach an agreement together to resolve the issue of the Chief Minister’s seat,” he said.
