“These sabotage attempts caused delay of 5 hours of the water pumping operation from HORAS to the river and caused the disrupt of processed water of up to 70million cubic litres.”

“For the time being, the team from The Board of Selangor Water (LUAS) and the Department of Water & Flow (JPS) are working hard to ensure the water pumping process are not affected so water supply are not affected.”

Dr Yunus said, a police report was made earlier at the Bestari Jaya Police Station and the State government hopes the police will provide extra patrols around the areas and investigate the case as soon as possible to avoid anything similar happening in future.

“We would like to thank all the officers and workers involved in handling the pumps at Horas Bestari Jaya and we appreciate their sacrifice to report on duty and being away from their families during this festive season.”

“As the State government is working hard to ensure water supply will not be disrupted, we also hope that the consumers, will be able to use water at a passive and careful rate,” he said.
