MPSJ seized two lorries for illegal rubbish dumping

SHAH ALAM, 14 JUNE: The enforcement department of Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) caught two lorries while they were illegally dumping rubbish.

MPSJ Deputy Corporate Director of Corporate Planning Department, Muhammad Azli Miswan said quick action taken by the Enforcement Department of MPSJ officers, made it successful to stop the lorries and then seized the lorries in Puchong.

He said, MPSJ would like to warn the public not to take the easy way out by illegally dumping rubbish at any location they please because they will face stern action from MPSJ.

“The Enforcement Department officers of MPSJ stumbled upon the two lorries illegally dumping rubbish while patrolling around hot spot areas for illegal rubbish dumping within Puchong.”

Up till June 2014, there has been as many as four cases involving lorries that were seized and fined an amount of RM1000.00 for every breach of the law according to UUK4 MPSJ 2007 Law for Removal and Disposal of Rubbish.
