A KAFA teacher, Nordiana Kasmir, thanked the State Government and considers the announcement as good news for all civil servants.

“Alhamdulillah (thank God), good news for all civil servants and for us, Selangor KAFA teachers,” she said.

For Buana Mahawangsa, the bonus each year by the State Government shows good changes for the people of Selangor since the 2008 General Election.

For Datuk NurZhani Harun, he is confident that under the administration of Abdul Khalid, Selangor is able to generate more profits for the state.

“Alhamdulillah, although I am not an employee of the Selangor Government, I am confident that Tan Sri’s administration is able to generate more profit because even though I have never worked with him, I know that he is very careful in terms of expenditure and transactions involving finances,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rusydi Kudus Abdullah considers the RM500 given by the Federal Government as being viewed as benevolence money and candy, like the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M).

.

“We thought it is a bonus of one month’s salary, but it is RM500 benevolence money. Like the BR1M candy. Najib gives civil servants RM500, but he gets billions,” he said.

Yesterday, Abdul Khalid announced the awarding of bonuses to civil servants with an allocation of RM32.7 million by the State Government.

The bonus given is because the state financial report shows a revenue growth from last year until 30 June, 2014.
