SHAH ALAM, 9 Apr: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, encourages the Selangor Umno Communications Chief, Datuk Seri Noh Omar, to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding the sale of land to Tropicana.
Abdul Khalid said this on his Facebook status today.
“I would welcome it if Datuk Seri Noh Omar wants to make a report to the MACC regarding the issue of the sale of land to Tropicana. #IntegritiTelusBersih,” said Abdul Khalid.
In April 2013, the State Government, through Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), sold 474.3 hectares (1,172 acres) of swamp land to Tropicana and the company then sold a quarter of the total land to Eco World Development Group Berhad at a higher price.
1 leading companies bid for the land, but it was successfully sold to Tropicana (formerly known as Dijaya) at the highest bid of RM1,29 billion.
