SHAH ALAM, 28 May: DAP will provide bus services from the Klang Valley to the polling stations in Teluk Intan to facilitate and encourage the public to return to vote during the by-election on May 31.
Registered voters who are interested are asked to gather at the light rapid transit (LRT) stations in Bukit Jalil and Kelana Jaya, and the departure time is at 7.00, 8.00 and 9.00 at night on May 30.
The trip back to the Klang Valley is scheduled at 6.00 pm (May 31), while the departure time for Sunday is yet to be determined.
Those interested will only be charged RM10 per person for a return trip and can contact the supervisor, Chee Fu Yue, at 017-2327929 for booking.
The Teluk Intan by-election will see a straight fight between a young candidate from DAP, Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, and the Gerakan President, Datuk Mah Siew Keong, after the death of the incumbent, Seah Leong Peng, from cancer.
Leong Peng was elected as Member of Parliament for the first term after winning the Teluk Intan seat in the 13th General Election, where he defeated Siew Keong with a majorit of 7,313 votes in a three-cornered fight.
