SUK Will Determine Azmin, Norita’s Position in PKNS

SHAH ALAM, 25 Jan: the position of the PKR Vice President, Mohamed Azmin Ali and the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) Secretary, Norita Mohd Sidek, depends on the decision of the State Government Secretary (SUK).

Apart from Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the state’s financial officer is also given the power to decide on their position.

“That is up to the SUK and the state financial officer. Above all, we must follow the state regulations,” he said after attending the Appreciation and Local Authorities Clean Zone Programme at the Shah Alam Convention Centre yesterday.

He said that the action by PKNS in the controversy is ‘abnormal’.

“We want to study how PKNS did some unusual things not done by any corporation because it was created over 30 years.”

On 15 January, he revealed that the decision to not renew Azmin’s service contract was not his or the Selangor Excos decision, but it was decided by the PKNS General Manager, Datuk Othman Omar.

As a result, Abdul Khalid ordered Khusrin to take disciplinary action against Othman and Norita, who are currently temporarily placed at the SUK Building.

He also ordered his private secretary to disclose documents on the PKNS Corporation Member issue chronologically for public knowledge.

In other developments, Abdul Khalid denied knowledge of demands for him to resign as the Chief Minister of Selangor on grounds that he had failed to resolve various issues in the state.
