PKNS Issue: State Government Disciplinary Committee is Reviewing

SHAH ALAM, 11 Feb: The State Government Disciplinary Committee is reviewing feedback submitted by the former General Manager of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), Datuk Othman Omar and his Secretary, Norita Mohd Ishak.

The State Government Secretary (SUK), Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, said that the reply was to answer the show cause letter submitted by the committee to two former officers on the issue of the termination of Assemblyman, Azmin Ali, as a PKNS Member of the Board of Directors.

He said that both the former officers have responded to the letter put forward by the committee and the inquiry is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

“The Disciplinary Committee is evaluating their responses to determine whether a prima facie existed or otherwise.

“If it does not exist, this case will be let go and if there is, we will issue a letter for trial,” he said, citing a report from a local newspaper.

He said that the inquiry could not be completed in two weeks as directed because it needs to follow the set procedures.

“The inquiry will take a long time because it involves government employees. We need to remember that government employees are different from private employees, it is tied to established procedures,” said the leader of the committee.

Previously, Othman and Norita were transferred to the SUK’s Office after Azmin was dropped as a Board Member of PKNS.
