KAJANG, 4 Feb: The Selangor Economic Advisor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, stressed the role of the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, in generating revenue for the economy of the state will be maintained.
He said that Selangor’s economic development and improvement clearly shows that Khalid’s performance is something to be proud of.
“We are proud of Selangor’s economic performance under Khalid because he is a very careful person. If people say he is thrifty, it is because it involves public funds and it is not a weakness.
“In Selangor’s history, leadership has changed many times but the economic performance under Khalid is the best in the history of this state,” he said in front of about 30 supporters at here at Taman Mesra yesterday.
He stressed that Abdul Khalid is the pride of Selangor as a son of the state and is a Chief Minister that is transparent and firm against corruption.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid was elected as the Kajang State Legislative Assembly By-Election Director which has been confirmed by the PKR Communications Director, Fahmi Fadzil.
The Election Commission (EC) will meet to set the date of the nomination and polling on 5 February.
