Wan Azizah: “I’m not a Puppet Replacing Anwar”

KAJANG, 16 Mar: The drizzle of rain wetting the ground in Kajang accompanied the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) By-Election candidate, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, during a walkabout session with the locals.

More interestingly, the walkabout session at the Sungai Chua Public Market, was also accompanied by the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, who came to Kajang as a sign of support toward the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) candidate.

Visitors and vendors took the opportunity to greet Kak Wan, who is also the wife of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a short speech, Wan Azizah stressed that she is not a puppet by joining the Kajang by-election to replace Datuk Seri Anwar, and instead wants to use her previous experience to serve the people of Kajang.

“Do not call me a puppet. I’m not a puppet. I want to help solve the problems in Kajang and I hope that you all vote for me on 23 March,” said Wan Azizah, who was also honoured by Eng Guan’s presence.

Also seen was the Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery, which arrived at the same location after Wan Azizah wrapped up a meet-and-greet session with vendors.

The kajang by-election will involve a straight fight between the PKR candidate and the BN candidate, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun.
