KLANG, 21 Jan: The Chief Financial Officer of Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB), Azlan Md Alifiah, has been appointed as the Acting General Manager of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) until a thorough investigation is carried out.
The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the appointment was to replace Datuk Othman Omar who has been temporarily transferred to the State Government Secretary’s (SUK) Office effective yesterday.
“I have appointed the acting (GM) and he will manage PKNS until the investigation is completed,” he said.
He said although Othman and the PKNS Executive Secretary, Norita Mohd Sidek’s positions have been suspended temporarily, they will still receive their monthly salary as usual.
Othman and Norita have been placed under the supervision of the SUK, Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, to facilitate a thorough investigation to be carried out following the termination of the PKR Vice President, Azmin Ali from the Board of Directors.
This was implemented after holding a discussion on this matter and a letter of authority has been submitted to Khusrin to implement administrative actions on both of them.
In a statement this morning, Khusrin also informed that Azmin remains terminated and will not be appointed again.
He said claims of the PKNS general manager Datuk Osman Omar in his letter dated Jan 16 claiming that the Selangor state government directed the withdrawal of the Jan 8 letter terminating the service of Azmin Ali as a PKNS board member are untrue
