He said that the CIP which was signed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and four of its subsidiary companies proves the commitment of the corporation in heading towards the best, transparent and high integrity corporate administration practices.

“With this system, corruption is curbed and the culture of integrity can be effectively instilled in all staff.

“PKNS’s experience in dealing with companies abroad has found that they stress on the system of integrity because it is the trend in global business,” he said in a press conference after the CIP signing session was held at the PKNS headquarters this morning.

The four subsidiary companies are; Selangor Industrial Corporation (SIC), PKNS Infra Berhad (PIB), Worldwide holdings Berhad (WHB) and PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd.

“Close cooperation between PKNS, MACC and Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M)will continue through the signing of the CIP with the PKNS subsidiary companies,” he said.

Othman said that the move is to prove the organisation’s support towards the Selangor Government and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) efforts to eradicate corruption and misconduct in the office.

Also present at the CIP signing was the MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), Datuk Stinah Sutan.

Elaborating further, Othman said that the initiative to sign the CIP will continue to be implemented for all PKNS subsidiary companies next year.

Prior to that, PKNS emerged as the first State Economic Development Organisation which signed the CIP on 14 November 2012, and implements the Corporate Integrity System.
