ABOUT 200 people, mostly youths, held a flash mob to protest against the rising prices at the Sungai Rasau Toll in Klang for 30 minutes, starting from 5.30pm yesterday.
In the programme organised by the Selangor PAS Youth Assembly, they exhibited protest posters and the 2014 calendar with facts on the price increases to be distributed to the people.
The programme received cooperation from the police and received enthusiastic positive response from motorists who beeped their horns in support.
“We urge the people, especially the young, to rally together with the Selangor PAS Youth in protesting against the rising cost of living which is oppressing. (Price) of goods are on the rise, not just oil, but toll rates, taxes and so on.
“Insya-Allah, flashmobs will be continuously held in all districts in the state,” said the Selangor PAS Youth Chief, Ustaz Syarhan Humaizi.
Also present was the Assemblyman for Gombak Setia, Hasbullah Mohd Ridzwan, who is also the Selangor PAS Youth Deputy Chief.
