SHAH ALAM, 7 Feb: DAP slammed the rudeness of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) that offered a reward of up to RM1,200 to the individual who successfully manages to slap the Member of Parliament for Seputeh, Teresa Kok, and record it.

The DAP Strategy Director, Ong Kian Ming, said that the action is deemed excessive and the police need to take immediate action on the matter.

Yesterday, the NGO that calls themselves the ‘Malaysian Islamic NGO Council’ held a protest believed to be a reaction to the Chinese New Year video entitled ‘Onderful Malaysia CNY 2014’.

Citing media reports, the reward in the form of cash was made by activists of the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association (PPIM), where they initially offered RM500 before the amount was increased.

Prior to that, Teresa, a former Selangor Exco, made a police report at the Kuala Lumpur Headquarters regarding the disturbance received.
