“After discussing with the General Manager of PKNS, Azlan Alifiah, regarding the financial management of PKNS over the past six years, we have found that there were issues involving ethics of using and spending the funds that need to be improved.

“Furthermore, we were told that there was an investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against the alleged abuse of funds for the football team that is still pending,” he said in a press conference after chairing the State Government Council Meeting this afternoon.

He said that the monitoring would involve spending of funds for the PKNS football team amounting to RM9 million a year, RM5 million per year for entrepreneur development and the expenses of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amounting to RM30 million a year.

“We will monitor PKNS developments carefully to ensure that company resources are managed in a professional and transparent manner.

“It is important to give the maximum benefit to the people of Selangor, in line with the State Revenue For The People agenda,” he said.
