SHAH ALAM, 20 Feb: The PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) victory in Kajang this 23 March is important to end Umno-BN’s legacy.
Anwar said that victory will answer accusations of various parties regarding his nomination as the candidate for the constituency and will reflect an ideal and successful state.
“If Selangor is truly successful, developed and provides good service to the people, it in itself will answer all attacks and would signify the end of Umno-BN’s history nationwide.
“It is still some time before the nomination and they have relentlessly attacked. The campaign has yet to start. Get vilified every day,” he said in front of 300 party supporters and local residents in conjunction with the launch of the polling district operations room in Sungai Sekamat, Kajang, last night.
Anwar, who was comfortable in a white shirt and black trousers last night, praised the voters in Kajang who are internet savvy.
“The uniqueness of Kajang is that the internet penetration is strong, and the people that follow news over the internet is more than those following the news on RTM, TV3 and newspapers.
