Unisel targets for all faculties to achieve 20% of the Dean’s Award

SHAH ALAM, 15 Jan: The University of Selangor (Unisel) targets for all faculties to achieve at least 20 percent of graduates earning the Dean’s Award this year.

The Unisel Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Anuar Ahmad, said that so far, only one faculty has achieved this, while two others are at 19 percent.

He said that all new students who enrol must graduate with a grade of at least 3.0 and above.

He said that students are also asked to be committed to the real intention of UNISEL and to always stay focused to obtain excellent results.

“Students are advised to be always focused in their studies to ensure that they obtain excellent results. Unisel does not only want to produce excellent students, but admirable ones so that they can help the people in the future.

“I hope that all faculties can produce 20 percent of graduates who receive the Dean’s Award when they graduate,” he said during the UNISEL Senior Management Meeting during the Student Orientation Week for the January 2015 Session at the Shah Alam campus recently.

The student pledge was read by Saran Jagadesan, 21, who is in the Bachelor of Accounting course, while the same event was also held at the Bestari Jaya campus.
