CM: Prepared to offer a job to Major Zaidi

SHAH ALAM, 16 Jan: The Selangor state government is considering offering a job to Major Zaidi Ahmad, who was dismissed.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said this while commenting on Penang government’s move to offer a job to Zaidi.

“We can consider offering him a job,” he said during a media conference at SUK today.

Meanwhile, when commenting on Major Zaidi’s desire to join Pakatan Rakyat, Mohamed Azmin said that he welcomed Zaidi’s participation.

He said that it is the right of the individual in a democratic system to join any party.

“I believe that he has a role to play in nurturing the democratic system in this country,” said the Deputy President of PKR.

Prior to this, Major Zaidi was dismissed after he questioned the effectiveness of the indelible ink system used in the 13th General Election.

He was found guilty of violating the orders of the Armed Forces Council when he gave a media statement without permission.
