SHAH ALAM, 28 Feb: A study by investigation agency Merdeka Centre revealed the public acceptance for the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, has fallen to 44 percent in January compared to 48 percent in October 2014.
This is because many feel that the government is moving in the wrong direction and that the economic situation is not very good.
The study also indicated the level of acceptance for Barisan Nasional (BN), led by Najib, remains at 38 percent in January, the same as when a survey was conducted in October last year.
But for Najib, 46 percent of people surveyed in January 2015 rejected the way he works.
47 percent of those surveyed also feel that Malaysia is “moving in the wrong direction” while 39 percent said that the government is doing the right thing.
The study revealed that only 18 percent of respondents from the Chinese community are satisfied with the performance of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
