‘Kita Lawan’ slogan proposed by sports associations

SHAH ALAM, 11 Apr: The proposal to use the ‘Kita Lawan’ (We Fight) slogan for the Selangor Contingent came from several organisations and associations, and has not yet been finalised.

“It is not a decision by the state government. It was a proposal by sports organisations and associations. It has not been finalised but the media have hyped it up.

“However, it is not a problem because Amirudin (Shari) will discuss it with sports associations, in accordance with the decree by the Sultan of Selangor,” said Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.

He was commenting on the slogan issue as the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, does not want any controversy surrounding the Malaysia Games (Sukma) Contingent next year.

Mohamed Azmin said that the Selangor government administration has good relations with the Palace and will take note of the Sultan’s views.
