Wan Azizah still monitors Kajang despite being busy campaigning

KUBANG SEMANG, 29 Apr: Despite being busy campaigning, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will not forget her duty as the Kajang Assemblyman and monitor problems in the constituency.

Yesterday, Azizah immediately contacted the Exco for Infrastructure & Public Amenities, Agricultural Modernisation and Agro-Based INdustries, Zaidy Abdul Talip, when the constituency experienced flash flood.

“I have contacted the Infrastructure Exco, Zaidy Abdul Talib, to give a report on the flood last night,” she said.

She said that although she is currently busy campaigning in Permatang Pauh, she did not abandon her responsibilities as the Kajang Assemblyman.

“I am also monitoring Kajang from here. I also have my friends there. The Exco will immediately monitor it.

“Similarly, I also have the Deputy President who is Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.

“We have to know that the MRT is under construction there, many infrastructural development is going on,” she said.

Wan Azizah also reminded that flooding in Kajang is nothing new, in fact it was a problem since BN’s time.

Meanwhile, Azizah thrilled by the response of voters in Permatang Pauh, whom she regards as her family.

During a press conference, she said that she was happy throughout her campaign period, which has now entered its fifth day.

“During the campaign journey so far, I found that I was welcomed by many people, such as ‘long time no see’.

“They are like a very good family. When I asked how they were, they would always ask ‘how is Datuk Seri’.

“As it goes on, Anwar is always remembered. This means that Anwar has not been forgotten,” she said.
